Who is Lexi?

For musical artist Lexi Gail, singing came into the picture just as soon as she began speaking. By the time she learned to write at age 6, her first task was to pen a song she’d composed in her head months earlier. There has never been a day of life in which her purpose was not known to her- she is a singer and songwriter.

Following in the footsteps of her grandmother and father, Lexi brings not only confidence to any stage but delivers each performance with powerful precision vocally. While she is qualified to sing in nearly any genre, her home-base has always been in popular music. “I grew up listening to all types of music and fell in love with pieces from each style. My personal sound has been influenced by artists like P!nk, Adele, Whitney Houston, Amy Lee, Sara Bareilles, and Kelly Clarkson among many others.”

Lexi moved to Nashville to attend Lipscomb University in 2016, having been awarded talent and academic scholarships. It was shortly after this that she began writing and recording original music. In the midst of these endeavors, she was commissioned to sing the National Anthem on several occasions at Monster Jam events across the country: some with up to 60,000 people in attendance.

As the years pass, she continues to carve out a unique path as an artist. With an organic pop sound that favors strings and live instrumentation as well as harmonies, she employs musical elements that have been around for ages in a new way.

Her strong belief in the Christian faith has led Lexi to many uncomfortable places as a writer- to topics of addiction, toxic relationship cycles, mental health, and the messy truths of the human condition. And in the same breath, she also elaborates on the joyful moments of existing and the simple beauty of creation.

With an authenticity that shines brightly and a soulful voice that can reduce any crowded room to utter silence, she is a commanding presence and a healing one all in the same. This is just the beginning of a long, fulfilling career in the world of entertainment for the Tampa native. And a story that you won’t want to miss as it unfolds.
